Mission
The ApplicaRAD team and crew completed its second AI nautical research mission to the Carribbean ocean. Departing Pensacola, FL on October 10th, 2022 abord the research vessel ISLAND TEMPUS, the ApplicaRAD crew made it to its destination in the Turks & Caicos along the following waypoints: Appilachicola, FL – Clearwater, FL – Marco Island, FL – Marathon, FL – Chub Cay, Bahamas – Great Exuma, Bahamas – Crooked Island, Bahamas.
Story
Along the journey, the ApplicaRAD team collected datapoints on various environmental variables to help further build out its proprietary climate models for CO2 absorption and dispersion.
Conclusion
The data collected on its 2nd mission along with data collected over the following 7 months in the Carribean helped the ApplicaRAD team more accurately fine-tune its AI climate models for utilization in the company’s upcoming CO2 sensor network and dispersion modeling system. The goal of the development efforts is to enable the company to provide environmental models and recommendations to industrial and corporate partners on how best to mitigate the effects of CO2 in the atmosphere through timed and coordinated release management. Additionally, the team tested improvements to its AI autonomous navigational systems and will incorporate lessons learned into its next generation AI autonomous marine system.
